The etymological analysis is carried out starting from encyclopedic writings so as to discuss the original meaning of the concept. The results of this analysis show that the original meaning of care is rooted in affects and feeling, lead to caring. Therefore, a personal dimension is inherent to it. This reflection aims to show that care is not opposed to cure, but that it is imperative to sensitize nurses to the personal dimension in care in order to become caring in relations with the management support team.
