This research aims to aid the professional development of nurse health educators in a school environment. On top of his/her ordinary skills and beyond simple prescriptions, a nurse also has to teach and promote health. It is believed that there is a link between professional and personal development. This research deals with the different approaches of nurses (N=30) working within different schools in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in France. Nurses’ experiences have been questioned to identify how this professional development centered on three issues: awareness, the identity process, and what group they belong to. This qualitive research borrows tools from a hybrid method that uses a comparative analysis based on two different methods: an oral interview and a piece of reflective writing.
