Cooperation in the health and social welfare sectors enables the users to be taken care of, as a part of a health promotion approach. The aim of L’IRFSS Auvergne is to promote cooperation between future nurses and social workers within its training sessions. Our study aimed to implement a framework integrated into both the nursing and social work curriculum, enabling the students to develop team working skills on the field. A survey of nurses and social workers led to the creation of a pedagogical tool adapted to issues encountered on the field, called “the cooperation toolbox kit.” In addition to this project, the study raised the question of the role of health promotion in the social work curriculum, the organization of the lifelong training department in a given area, and the role of coordination in the training of managerial staff.
