Whatever the program reforms, nursing training cannot be considered without clinical practical training, since the profession has always been and will always be taught by the patient’s bedside. This research focuses on practical application training, an essential part of training in which students, hospital staff in charge, trainers, and training tutors are all involved. More particularly, and using a psychosocial approach, it attempts to identify the difficulties in practices and the communication and the collaboration among these training actors, using the theoretical models of professional representation (M. Bataille, 1997) and professional involvement (C. Mias, 1998). Finally, from an analysis of the survey data, it proposes some actions to improve this dual education system, enabling the meaning, the landmarks, and the feeling of control relating to practical training to be studied from each actor’s perspective, so as to strengthen their collaboration and to bring their strengths together in order to acknowledge the skills that nurses have and to benefit patients.
