Although the nursing profession is regulated, in hospitals, some of the nurse’s tasks have shifted from the nurse to the nurse’s aide. Even though the different existing degrees are brought to students awareness, they do not seem to have integrated the content of these texts in their professional practice. In the current context of quality improvement and risk management, the present study explores the link between initial training and the positions of recent graduates concerning the issue of nurse’s aides performing nurses’ duties. The study is based on the analysis of a nursing school, and the hospital it is attached to. The survey, based on semi-directed interviews with teachers and recent graduates, shows many situations where the position of the recently graduated nurse and nurse’s aid regarding responsibility and risk analysis is not very clear.
