Since 1985, the journal “Recherche en Soins Infirmiers” (RSI) has pursued the objective of publishing articles on the research, epistemology, and methodology of the various disciplines capable of contributing to excellence in nursing.
RSI is an independent scientific journal in French with a general and multidisciplinary approach, as shown by its scientific committee. Since 1985, it has published articles on the research, epistemology, and methodology of the various disciplines capable of contributing to excellence in the nursing care provided to the public.
To meet scientific, ethical, and bibliometric requirements, RSI appears in the list of journals recognized by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). The author guidelines therefore follow the “Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals.” All documents submitted are reviewed by independent experts. RSI is also referenced by the Haut conseil de l’évaluation de la recherche et de l’enseignement supérieur (HCERES). The journal is indexed in the international databases of Cairn.info, B.D.S.P. (Banque de Données Santé Publique), C.I.N.A.H.L (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature), RefDoc, the service of INIST-CNRS (Institut de l’Information Scientifique et Technique of the CNRS), MEDLINE version PubMed, and SantéPsy.
RSI publishes four issues annually and serves as a space for the publication of:
- Research contributing to a better understanding of the health of the population and its environment, the demand for healthcare, and the techniques and practices of innovative care;
- Studies and research allowing care providers to engage in professional practices based on proven techniques, the evaluation of professional practices, and experiments that help improve the quality of care;
- Reviews of the literature and meta-analysis related to care;
- Epistemological debates that contribute to defining the concepts, models, theories, and methods that allow caregivers to produce scientific knowledge from a disciplinary perspective;
Recherche en Soins Infirmiers is addressed to every healthcare researcher, student, and professional who wants to publish convincing research results and develop the discipline of nursing science and related disciplines with an interdisciplinary perspective.
