In the evolving landscape of nursing care, postoperative pain management remains a relevant issue. This article aims to explore the application of chronotherapy in acute pain treatment, as conceptualized by Auvil-Novak’s theory of chronotherapeutic intervention for postsurgical pain. Using a clinical situation as a starting point, this article offers a novel perspective on a temporal approach to analgesic administration. This approach illustrates the importance of theory-based nursing practice, demonstrating how the integration of nursing theories can enrich clinical reflection and open up new perspectives for improving the quality of postoperative care.
